Goal

Establish the smallest usable Apache-2.0 Python repository foundation for Model Intelligence / Creatidy Intelligence and the durable Kilo single-issue workflow. Freeze the acceptance contract for a later M0 proof, without implementing that proof or the intelligence product now.

Adrian explicitly authorizes creation and immediate implementation of this one bootstrap issue. Successful creation makes it the owner-selected issue for this task only. This exception expires at bootstrap handoff; future implementation requires Adrian to select an actual Forgejo issue by number, URL, or unambiguous title.

Why

Existing open upstreams already cover substantial catalog, model, and pricing intelligence. This project must not build another generic AI model catalog. The later M0 proof exists to test whether an actual missing temporal/provenance layer warrants a separate Creatidy product, not to justify a predetermined GO outcome.

Three deliberately different cases will challenge a small shared representation: A models and conflicting evidence, B temporal public market economics, and C execution-surface capabilities and identity control. Their differing semantics must remain explicit instead of being flattened into a generic model fact.

Scope

Bootstrap deliverable now

  • Python 3.12+, uv and a locked development environment; typed src/model_intelligence package; Apache-2.0 using the existing license; deterministic local synthetic tests; minimal external dependencies and no runtime dependencies unless necessary for this foundation.
  • A repository-owned make check interface owning the exact lint, formatting, basedpyright typing, test and whitespace gates.
  • Short factual README with intent, bootstrap/M0 status, non-ownership boundary, canonical Forgejo/read-only GitHub mirror and local validation commands.
  • Thin AGENTS.md entrypoint with narrowly scoped .kilo/rules/ and .kilo/command/implement-issue.md and review-pr.md. Normal operation is one explicitly owner-selected issue, fetched before planning/editing, isolated issue-numbered worktree/branch from exact fetched origin/develop, focused implementation, checks, commit, Git push, Forgejo MCP PR to develop, concise issue update, no merge.
  • Durable rules for authority, demonstrated permissions, safe ordinary autonomy, diagnosed finite retries, local search, scope restraint, excluded local progress state, independent frozen-PR review and human merge/main/release gates.
  • Freeze this issue's future M0 proof contract. Documentation is not evidence that the future proof has passed.

Product boundary

Model Intelligence is a public/shared intelligence layer about the external AI ecosystem: model/release identity, capability/performance evidence, public pricing/plans/promotions and temporal market rules, execution surfaces, provenance/freshness, source disagreement and semantic snapshot changes.

It must not own credentials, actual remaining user quota, private subscriptions, reset credits/cards held, authenticated local runtime state, private workspaces, local GPUs, private preferences or task-specific final routing decisions. No downstream decision engine and no dependency on another Creatidy product.

Reuse-first rule

Evaluate existing open upstreams first, including models.dev, AI Model Watch, Model Price Watch, pydantic/genai-prices and wmpeng/codingplan. Reuse/consume/adapt only where actual semantics and licenses permit. Verify the actual license before copying or substantially adapting code, preserve notices/attribution, record provenance for materially reused code/data, and do not elevate convenient secondary sources to authoritative status. Do not redistribute datasets without license/terms permission or add a paid SaaS dependency to the core. Create/update a concise reuse/NOTICE record when actual material first lands; no large reuse document now.

Frozen future M0 proof A: model intelligence

Use existing open sources, not a newly constructed catalog. Candidate test subject: GLM-5.3-Flash (candidate, not an asserted verified model/source fact). Demonstrate stable model identity; provider-specific representation; capability/performance evidence; benchmark methodology/version/configuration; pricing evidence; provenance and freshness; and simultaneous conflicting source assertions without silent overwrite. Verify actual sources before relying on any candidate.

Frozen future M0 proof B: temporal market economics

Use a real, verified Z.ai plan/promotion. Demonstrate plan identity/generation, effective_from, effective_until, timezone-aware recurring windows, price/quota multiplier semantics, promotion conditions and automatic expiry. Public plan rules must remain distinct from private account state. Demonstrate meaningful changes including PROMOTION_STARTED, PROMOTION_ENDED and OFFER_CHANGED. Do not assume promotions, API prices and quota multipliers can always be mechanically multiplied together. Time-driven proof tests must use controlled synthetic time rather than live clock/network dependence.

Frozen future M0 proof C: execution-surface intelligence

Use official ZCode, with source and surface/version explicitly verified. Distinguish headless support, structured output, workspace read/edit, model discovery, model selection/steering, reasoning steering, physical-model observability, physical-model enforceability, provider-managed identity and surface/version. Preserve advertised, observed, selectable and enforceable as distinct assertions, never one generic model fact.

Future M0 architectural hypothesis and decision

Test whether existing open upstreams plus a small Creatidy-owned common temporal/provenance representation can express A/B/C and meaningful versioned snapshot changes without provider-specific hacks leaking into core semantics. Likely shared concerns are source/provenance, retrieval/observation time, effective validity, epistemic state, immutable/versioned snapshots and semantic change; these are hypotheses, not a prescribed schema.

Future M0 must answer: Can existing open upstreams plus a small Creatidy-owned temporal/provenance layer correctly represent A, B and C and produce meaningful versioned snapshot changes?

  • STOP — do not build a separate intelligence service. If existing upstreams already solve the complete problem sufficiently.
  • GO — continue Creatidy Intelligence as a separate product. Only if the missing temporal/subscription/execution intelligence layer remains real and cannot be delegated cleanly.

The later proof must record source/license evidence, verifiable A/B/C results, unresolved limitations and a reasoned STOP/GO assessment without bias toward GO. Bootstrap does not decide STOP/GO or authorize autonomous follow-on implementation.

Acceptance Criteria

  1. Canonical Forgejo fetched; clean initial checkout and actual MCP read demonstrated; exact fetched develop base SHA recorded. Preserve existing unrelated worktrees.
  2. One isolated branch/worktree named issue-<number>-<short-topic> originates at that exact develop base. No direct develop development or main change.
  3. Python package installs/imports from src layout under Python 3.12+; typed-package marker is shipped. Runtime dependencies remain empty. uv.lock is committed and frozen synchronization succeeds.
  4. Focused deterministic local test(s) verify the bootstrap package and packaging without live services or external datasets. make check succeeds with Ruff lint/format, basedpyright, tests and git diff --check.
  5. README is short/factual. AGENTS and minimal detailed Kilo rules/commands encode the single-issue workflow, Forgejo authority, read-only GitHub, no auto-selection/Program Mode, independent read-only review and human merge gate. /implement-issue ends with an unmerged develop PR and issue update.
  6. This issue durably captures all A/B/C distinctions, the architectural hypothesis, explicit non-scope, reuse safeguards and the unbiased future STOP/GO criterion. No implementation of those product semantics is included in bootstrap.
  7. Final diff/status/base delta inspected; only intended repository files committed; no secrets, local runtime state or scratch state committed. Any .task_progress.md is excluded via .git/info/exclude, never .gitignore or the commit.
  8. Commit count is not an acceptance criterion. Use as many small, coherent, reviewable commits as needed. Remediation commits are normal. Do not squash, amend, force-push, or rewrite published history merely to reduce commit count. Push through normal Git to canonical Forgejo; one Forgejo MCP PR targets develop and links this issue without automatic closure. Issue remains open. Handoff records issue/PR links, base/head SHAs, substantive files, exact validation/results and genuine blockers or READY_FOR_REVIEW.

Constraints

No production SQLite, web/REST/MCP server, scheduler or ingestion dependencies; no speculative empty sources/reconcile/api/store/domain packages. No generic EAV, event-sourcing framework, PostgreSQL, generic rules engine, universal score, leaderboard or ML calibration framework. No deployment, merge, release or main promotion. No extra issues, Projects, milestones, planning labels/taxonomies, program controller, execution graph or autonomous issue selection.

Use normal Git for repository objects and configured Forgejo MCP for platform operations. Do not use direct HTTP/REST when MCP supports the operation. Use local files/search for repository contents. Demonstrate permissions through successful operations; do not assume access. Diagnose failed operations before any corrected retry; stop finite failures rather than looping. Ordinary safe/reversible scoped implementation needs no additional owner permission; ask only for actual authority/security/privacy/architecture/scope/destructive/cost/credential decisions. Do not weaken acceptance to bypass blockers or encode model names in repository workflow policy.

  • Head: eb0964adb8be2bc43aa8b1239d778d5b051ac329
  • One commit, 16 intended files: minimal typed Python/uv foundation, two deterministic tests, make check, short README, thin AGENTS, five scoped rules and two Kilo commands. No runtime dependencies or product/M0 implementation. This issue remains the frozen future A/B/C and unbiased STOP/GO contract.
  • Passed: uv sync --locked --group dev; make check (Ruff lint/format, basedpyright 0 errors/warnings, 2 tests, unstaged/staged whitespace); uv build; isolated installed-wheel unittest (2 tests); git diff --check 033f82956bf5d56c0df0a9cf6472d11a3bf099b4..HEAD and git diff --check origin/develop...HEAD. Exact commands/evidence are in the PR.
  • Final full delta/status inspected and issue checkout clean. Canonical fetch confirms remote/local head match and develop unchanged. LICENSE preserved; no secrets/runtime/scratch committed; .task_progress.md excluded via shared .git/info/exclude.
  • Caveat: Kilo command frontmatter matches documented syntax, but runtime loading was not demonstrated (editor validator lacked instance context; shell has no kilo executable). Local read-only sanity check found no corrections and is not independent frozen-PR approval.

No merge, main promotion, release, deployment or GitHub mutation. Keeping this issue open; future work again requires explicit Adrian issue selection. No unresolved product/authority decision or delivery blocker.

Owner-authorized workflow remediation delivered on existing PR #2; no replacement PR or identity workaround.

  • This issue's AC8 was corrected in its body, not hidden in comments. Commit count is no longer acceptance; A/B/C, STOP/GO, product scope and other requirements preserved. Existing two-commit history was valid regarding count; additional normal remediation commit is now pushed.
  • Base 033f82956bf5d56c0df0a9cf6472d11a3bf099b4; current HEAD b3b1b5e2adcfec222d8c09fc7602115dbc550ce5.
  • Five workflow files: explicit plural commit/history-safety rule; review command removes subtask frontmatter and only orchestrates authoritative M5-B v2; AGENTS/MCP roles clarify kilo requests/PR creation vs distinct autonomy formal publication. No Kilo reviewer substitute, AGit, product/dependency change or history rewrite.
  • Current committed make check passed (Ruff, basedpyright zero diagnostics, two tests, whitespace); YAML frontmatter and local producer-schema/canonical-marker round-trip checks passed. Exact remote/MCP head and Adrian author/committer verified; checkout clean.
  • Shared correction creatidy PR #49, Kernel correction PR #41, onprem allowlist source PR #47. No changes in already-correct TRACE-CT/Imaging/Scarcity workflows or autonomy runtime. All PRs/issues remain open/unmerged.

Formal gate is OPERATOR-BLOCKED, not approved: current host ROG lacks canonical /opt/creatidy-onprem and Precision autonomy runtime; deployed requester/publisher permissions, expanded allowlist, Model Intelligence webhook/HMAC delivery and production preflight are unverified. MCP hook inspection denied repository-admin access. Onprem PR #47 records the exact existing SOPS/operator deployment and webhook status/apply path needed on the established host, without secret rotation/output or new implementations.

Review request id: none allocated; marker not posted. Formal autonomy status/verdict: NOT_REQUESTED; exact-HEAD review gate: NOT_PASSED. After verified operator enablement, request exactly one M5-B review of then-current HEAD and authenticate the result.
